The OTel community has been hard at work planting the seeds for improved client-side observability, and now it’s harvest time! In a previous panel, we heard from the Browser SIG about how they’re improving browser observability, and now, we’ve gathered key members of the Android and Swift SIGs to share how they’re improving mobile support in OpenTelemetry. 

Topics include: 

• Key challenges that mobile platforms face when collecting telemetry
• Addressing gaps in the OTel spec for mobile (e.g., modeling user sessions and efficiently collecting telemetry in dynamic, resource-constrained mobile environments)
• Current state of OTel support for Android and iOS, where the community is investing, and how you can help 
• Tools and helpful suggestions for getting started with OTel for mobile observability.
